SEMINAR OVERVIEW
Urbanarium’s design competitions bring together multidisciplinary teams to rethink housing and urban development. The latest competition, Decoding Timber Towers, explored mass timber solutions for mid- to high-rise residential and mixed-use buildings, addressing key barriers such as building codes, zoning, and cost.
The competition emphasized low-carbon construction, livability, and systems-based approaches using BC timber, prefabrication, and modular design. This seminar will highlight insights from past competitions, share findings from the latest initiative, and provide a preview of the upcoming competition launching this fall.
