ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Ms. Abla Krouma is a PhD candidate in Civil Engineering at the University of Ottawa, researching the behavior of glued-laminated timber (GLT) panels under blast loads and post-fire conditions. She is a licensed P.Eng. with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), a Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP) in Canada, and a Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP) in the USA. With extensive experience in career advising, employer relations, teaching, and civil engineering in both the UAE and Canada, Ms. Krouma is dedicated to helping students achieve their career goals while advancing research in structural engineering.
